Mistakes to avoid when starting your own wholesaling business

:
No matter if you’ve been in business for ten years or ten days, the reasons why most businesses fail are the same: failing to research your niche, determining demand, not having an updated business plan in place, and not asking for help when you need it. This short piece will discuss these important facets to ensure your wholesaling business is a smashing success.

Do You Know Who Wants Your Products or Services?
Most successful business owners can tell you exactly who their target market is at any given moment, and why they should purchase from them. They also understand how to sell their product in one or two sentences, buying into the current trend that less is more.

Let’s use an example to demonstrate my point. If your business was showcased on a major network television program, you are given perhaps 5 seconds to share with the audience exactly what it is you do.

"And now, next on The Evening News"

What one or two lines would you want the announcer to say about your wholesale products? If nothing comes to mind, look at your niche, your customers, and what benefits you provide them with. Then craft your marketing sentence to accommodate all of these things so that you can rattle it off at a moment’s notice to anyone who asks.

Do You Have a Business Plan? When Was the Last Time You Updated it?
Things change. Markets evolve. Customers demand newer, flashier, cheaper, better products. Does your business plan reflect this?

You never know when you’ll need a capital loan from the bank, or extra cash to keep up with the sudden demand for one of your products that was mentioned on Oprah. Make sure that you are prepared to use your business plan at any time, with anyone, by scheduling time to update it on a yearly basis.

If Challenged, Do You Know Who to Call?
Maybe your business starts to grow faster than you anticipated, or you are looking to purchase some new equipment. Perhaps staffing is your issue, or customers aren’t knocking on your door as they have in years past. Whatever your issue, sometimes talking to a colleague, professional or business counselor is required. But do you have a list of these kinds of people at your fingertips to call when needed?

If you don’t, talk to your local Chamber of Commerce for names of local business owners that may be willing to speak with you regarding your wholesaling concerns. You can also contact SCORE, a non-profit business advising organization (and it’s counterpart in the UK), or a networking group created specifically for this purpose.

The rarely told truth about network marketing

Today I am going to talk about something that seems to be one of those things that people either love or hate. What I am talking about is network marketing, also called mlm or multi-level marketing. Right from the beginning I will say that there is no need to have extreme views about this, it is simply a business model that you can use if you wish.

However, it is crucial that you understand HOW the business model of network marketing works.

I think there are basically two reasons that some people seem to be almost electrocuted, simply by hearing someone mention the word network marketing. Either they have tried it themselves, and because they didn't have a clue on how to do it they failed miserably. Or they belong to the group of people who can't get the idea that mlm = pyramid scheme out of their heads.

This second misconception is easy to debunk. Pyramid schemes are illegal almost everywhere, do you really think large multinational companies could operate year after year on an entirely illegal basis?

Secondly, this view on network marketing shows that the speaker is ignorant. He or she hasn't done an ounce of homework on the various businesses that are available to each of us today, and they are ignorant of the industry itself.

This means they aren't serious. It means they "would like" to make more money, but have no intention of making it happen. They continually "look" for home businesses, which is enough to satisfy their minds that they "did everything they could", but everything they find out there is flawed and are "scams". They are looking to buy "hope", not a business.

There is a Chinese saying that goes something like this:"If you spend too much time thinking about your next step, you will be standing on one leg for the rest of your life". Yes, there ARE scams out there, but mlm is not a dirty word and it is not a synonym for scam. Get over it!

***********************************************

BREAKING NEWS! Corporate America a Pyramid Scam?

***********************************************

As for the comparison to a pyramid in general - think of any company that comes to mind. The company will probably have a CEO, president, vice presidents, middle management, a sales force, and hourly employees.

It goes without saying that the guy at the top, the CEO, is going to make the most money, and the compensations continue to decrease down the ladder which starts at his cushy leather chair. The only way to get paid more and move up the ladder is to boot someone else out of their spot - and this is what people call okay and normal!

Not to mention the fact that the corporate slave masters seem to have no problem with working people to the limits...and then kicking them out the door before any of the benefits kick in. (As always there are some exceptions, of course). How is this any less pyramid than network marketing? All people in the company work hard, but ONLY those at the very top has "permission" to make a lot of money.

Now, in network marketing the basic idea is that it will be of great benefit to everyone involved to help people who are new reach the top. In fact the whole business idea hinges on this idea - the only way to become really successful in the long term is to help others. Of course there will always be a mathematical limit to how large a network can become, but with todays global marketplace, and a suitable compensation plan, there is usually plenty of room for everybody.

A network marketing company can diversify and find new markets, just like all companies have to.

But what about the miserable statistics of network marketing, the over 90% drop-out rate etc.?

This is mainly caused by the simple fact that not that many people know how to do network marketing correctly. And I must admit that some network marketing companies are responsible for this themselves, by providing useless ideas like making a "100 list" etc.

You see, this is a somewhat unique industry. Most people don't realize that network marketing is a business of marketing and promotion pursued by people who have NO IDEA how to market and promote.

Read the above paragraph once more and let it sink in...

If you are going to be involved in network marketing you need to develop both the right mind set and acquire the right knowledge (no, they usually don't teach this in college).

You must learn that when you do this business right:

* You don't have to "sell"

* You don't have to ask people to join your business.. They ask you!

* You don't have to post "work at home" flyers!

* People will PAY YOU to prospect them

You should learn that this is not at all about the Vitamins or whatever product your company is selling. In fact, this is one of the single biggest mistakes people make in network marketing.

Proper rest to improve your personal life

Proper Rest to Improve your Personal Life

How to rest properly

When wanting to improve our life you may want to try to get the proper sleep that you need to maintain your body functions. The world is filled with people that find it difficult to rest properly. If this is you, you may want to visit your doctor so that he may provide you with sleep aides. Your doctor has links to a wide array of sleep aides that will benefit you. Give him time to find the best medications to help you sleep. In some instances, the first medication causes additional problems, which you should alert, your doctor immediately.

How to find relief:

If you think that you need to get help to fall asleep at night then you should go see your family doctor. You can also find relief by exercising one hour before you go to sleep. When you lie down to rest and find it hard to sleep, get up and read a book. Do not watch television, unless it helps you to relax and fall asleep. You can also benefit from meditation.

How to avoid things that keep you awake:

Some of the reasons that you may not be able to sleep vary. Perhaps you have a medical or mental ailment that hinders you. Perhaps you have too much stress. Do you get excited easily? Do you sleep during the day? If you take naps during the day, try to stay awake instead so that you can rest at night.

What else can I try to help me sleep at home?

Some of the things that you may want to try to do before going to bed they are maybe talking a hot relaxing bath. Perhaps you will find delight soaking in a bath with candles dazzling light off the ceiling. Play some soft music. During sleep time, perhaps you will enjoy hot milk or tea to help you relax. Do not use caffeine before going to bed.

Melatonin is a great natural supplement you may benefit from using as well. Melatonin is a natural chemical in the brain, which many people suffer deficiencies. Some people have Serotonin deficiencies. Perhaps you can seek professional support to learn if this is part of your problem. You may want to try to exercise daily, which can help you rest properly also.

How is my body and mind affected by poor sleeping habits?

Without the proper rest, many things could happen to your body and mind. Your body and mind needs healthy living to function properly. If you lack sleep, you will likely get sick easily. You are apt to get the flu or colds more often. You may also endure unwarranted headaches or migraines.

What can I do to help relive the stress I have?

When it comes to relieving stress, you have many options. You should always eat right. Eat three meals daily, or five if you eat light. Avoiding substances or chemicals that stress the nerves: If you rely on caffeine pills sold on the market, stop using them now. You are only damaging your heart, body and mind.

So eating right will help. Excising will help a lot. When your stress go for a walk and take it out on the way you walk or maybe you want to ride a bike that’s all good but you also need to excise on a regular base as well take 30 minutes out of your busy day to do something for you will feel better in the long run.

Tip:

Laughter is a great way to start feeling better about your self the more you smile and laugh you will find your self doing it all the time.

How to make tinctures from herbs

The philosophy behind tincture is to capture the spiritual and physical essence of the plant. This is done by using the power of ethyl alcohol to dissolve and preserve the herb in question.

The substance used to extract the herbs is known as the menstrum. The herbs you are tincturing are known as the mark. Tincturing will extract and preserve both the water-soluble and alcohol-soluble properties of an herb.

In the interest of taking a more involved stance in their health, many people are turning to homemade tinctures made from fresh or dried herbs. Tinctures have proven to be more powerful and longer lasting than dried herbs. Dried herbs can get moldy or be eaten by insects, tinctures do not. Tinctures will keep up to two years and keep their potency if stored properly. Making your own tinctures will save you quite a bit of money. If you purchase tinctures in a retail store you will get a few ounces whereas if you make it yourself it will yield about a quart.

When purchasing herbs, make sure you are buying from a reputable source. Better yet, grow your own herbs to be sure of the highest possible quality. When growing your own you can make any number of combinations to make up your tinctures. I have also found that when growing my own herbs I get the most enjoyment, knowing not only did I make the tincture but I grew the herbs. I become part of the process from beginning to end.

There are several items that you will need to make your own tinctures. First you need either powdered herbs or fresh cut herbs. Vodka, brandy or rum, 80-100 proof to cover the herbs. Mason jars with lids. Muslin or Cheesecloth that is unbleached. Lastly, labels for the jars.

You will need 7-10 ounces of chopped fresh herbs for every quart of vodka, brandy or rum. I prefer to use fresh herbs when making my tinctures. When using powdered herbs, I use 4 ounces of herbs to one pint of liquid. If you are making a tincture from bitter herbs it is best to use rum as it will mask the taste of the herbs. To make a non-alcoholic tincture use distilled water, glycerol or vinegar. Keep in mind that if you use vinegar the tincture will have to be refrigerated.

Put your herbs in the mason jars and then pour the liquid over them so that it comes up to about an inch above the herbs. Seal tightly and label the jars then put them in a very dark, warm area. Keeping them in a paper bag has worked well for me. You will have to shake the jar everyday, several times a day if you can mange it.

At first check the solution daily to make sure the vodka, brandy or rum still covers the herbs. Let the mixture steep for at least two weeks and up to three months. When you reach the allotted waiting period, line a sieve with the cheesecloth or muslin and pour the liquid thru the sieve into another bottle. Gather up the ends of the cheesecloth and squeeze to extract all of the liquid. You can now fill small bottles with droppers with the tincture for ease in use. Be sure to label the jar with the name and the date.

The dose is one teaspoon tincture in a cup of tea, juice or water taken three times daily.

There are no right formulas for making tinctures. Experiment with different combinations. Be sure you write down the formula so when you come up with a winning combination you will have it on file.

Here are a few ideas for treating colds. Make tinctures from the following herbs:

* echinacea (leaves, flowers)

* elder (leaves, flowers, berries)

* eyebright (leaves, flowers)

* ginger (root)

* peppermint (leaves)

* yarrow (leaves, flowers)

* catnip (leaves

What is refractive eye surgery

Refractive eye surgery is a type of eye surgery that is used to rectify refractive errors of the eye and decrease dependency on corrective lenses such as eyeglasses and contact lenses. Successful refractive procedures can reduce myopia or nearsightedness, hyperopia or farsightedness, and astigmatism or elongated corneas. A number of different procedures exist for refractive eye surgery depending upon the type and severity of the refractive error.

There are four main types of refractive eye surgery procedures: flap and photoablation procedures; corneal incision procedures; thermal procedures; and implants. Currently, the most common refractive eye surgeries involve the use of lasers to reshape the cornea.

Flap procedures involve cutting a small flap in the cornea so that the tissue underneath can be reshaped to correct the refractive error. LASIK, short for Laser Assisted In-Situ Keratomileusis, is the most popular refractive surgery and is used to correct myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. The LASIK procedure involves using a microkeratome or IntraLase to cut a flap into the stroma, moving the flap out of the way, removing excess corneal tissue with an excimer laser, then replacing and smoothing out the flap. LASEK is best suited for individuals with thin or flat corneas. The LASEK procedure uses a small trephine blade to cut into the shallow epithelium, after which the eye is bathed in a mild alcohol solution to soften the edges of the epithelium. The flap is gently moved out of the way so that an excimer laser can remove excess corneal tissue, after which the flap is replaced and smoothed out. Epi-LASIK, like LASEK, involves a shallow cut into the epithelium, but makes use of epikeratome to create a thin epithelium sheet for removal instead of the harsher blade and alcohol.

Photoablation, the second stage in flap procedures, makes use of ultraviolet radiation to remove excess corneal tissue. PRK, or photorefractive keratectomy, was the original laser eye surgery procedure. PRK involves numbing the eye with local anesthetic eye drops, and reshaping the cornea by destroying miniscule amounts of tissue from the surface of the eye. The laser used, an excimer laser, is a computer-controlled ultraviolet beam of light. It burns cool so as not to heat up and damage the surrounding eye tissue.

Corneal incision procedures such as radial keratotomy and arcuate keratotomy use miniscule incisions in the cornea to alter its surface and correct refractive errors. Radial keratotomy, or RK, uses a diamond tipped knife to make a number of spoke-shaped incisions in the cornea. The result of the incisions is that the cornea flattens out, minimizing the effects of myopia. Arcuate keratotomy, or AK, is very similar to RK. The diamond knife is used to cut incisions that are parallel to the edge of the cornea, as opposed to the spoke-shaped incisions of the RK procedure. These procedures have been much less common with the emergence of laser-assisted refractive eye surgeries.

Thermal procedures use heat to correct temporarily hyperopic refractive errors, or farsightedness. The thermal keratoplasty procedure involves putting a ring of 8 or 16 small burns on the eye immediately surrounding the pupil. The application of the heat increases the slope of the cornea, making it steeper, through thermal contractions. There are two main types of thermal keratoplasty. Laser Thermal Keratoplasty, or LTK, is a no-touch procedure that uses a holmium laser. Conductive Keratoplasty, or CK, uses a high-frequency electric probe.

The final type of refractive eye surgery involves the use of implants. Implantable contact lenses, or ICL, can be used to correct severe levels of myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. The implants are actually tiny contact lenses that are inserted through a small incision in the side of the cornea. Implants are seated so they sit immediately in front of the eye's natural lens just behind the cornea. ICL works in conjunction with the eye’s natural lens to refocus light on the retina and produce a crystal clear image.

Each of these procedures has its advantages and disadvantages, and not all individuals are suitable candidates for refractive eye surgery. Individuals who are interested in learning more about surgical options should contact their ophthalmologist for more information about these procedures, as well as inquire about other new cutting-edge procedures. Since ophthalmologic surgery is constantly growing and changing with emergence of new technologies and methods, there are always new techniques in development. As new equipment is developed and methods refined that can improve the success and minimize the side effects of refractive eye surgery, new procedures will emerge to replace outdated techniques.

Tips to starting your internet business

Starting your new business opportunity online can become very stressful just because of the amount of time and work that goes into it. But if you want to see results you have to have a plan to get your business opportunity off and running on the right foot. Here are a couple of suggestions that I feel will help you get your new online business opportunity started and maybe relieve a little of that initial stress.

1. A good start-up plan

The first thing you will need to do is outline a plan of attack. Having a good plan will make the beginning phases of your new business a whole lot easier. There are numerous things that you will need to do to start your new business, but having a good plan will help relieve some of stress. Your plan will need to include at least the items listed below along with your written goals of where you want your new company to be 3 months, 6 months, 1 year and 5 years from now. With out goals success in any business will be much more difficult to achieve because you have not plan on how to get where you want to be.

2. Picking a good Domain name

“VERY IMPORTANT” Now pay attention to these next few sentences. The domain name you choose can pay HUGH dividends in the success of your online business opportunity More and more businesses are being created every day, and it is becoming a lot more difficult in finding a legitimate domain (business) name. You need to try to find a domain name that is short and sweet and relates to your business or the theme of your business. Remember, this is a very important step in setting up your online business, so take you time, give it plenty of thought, and do it right the first time.

3. Web Site Design

How do you want to present your site to a customer when they click onto your home page? What is it that you are trying to say or relate to this customer? This is what goes into the thought process of a web designer when they are creating a web site. Your web site should address the following issues; “WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN & WHY”. There are more web site designers out there in the internet world than you can “shake a stick at”. You can join online business sites that will teach you how to build your own web site or you can pay a company to design and build one for you. There are also internet Business’ out there that if you join their internet business and promote their products they will provide you with your own web site already set up and ready to go.

Do a little research on this subject before you make your final decision. It could save you a lot of money down the road.

4. Hosting your web site

.The hosting company that you choose is going to be the company that keeps your website up and running for you. You want to make sure that the company you choose is reputable and has a good online performance record What you do not need is for you web site to go down and become inactive and your customers not being able to get in touch with you. Also you need to know who to contact in the case of a problem, and to get that problem fixed ASAP. Again take your time to do the research and find a quality

Hosting company. You can’t make sales if your site is down and no one can contact you.

5. How to market the site

As soon as you have obtained your domain name and get your website up and running, you want to begin promoting (advertising) your online business opportunity. There are numerous ways that you can market your new web site. There are sites that will let you submit advertising for free, and then there are those that charge a fee to advertise also. There are Classified Ads, Ezines, Solo Ads, Articles, Press Releases, Pay for Click and lots of other on line and off line ways to promote your site. There are tons of free publications online that can down load and print that will help you get started in the right direction. Just get started and do it. I think you will find that the free advertising campaigns are a little slower in response but they are a lot of fun and a great way to learn how to advertise and promote your new business. Plus the only thing it costs is your time.

6. Goal setting

One last item that I want to stress on (sorry for the play on words) is GOALS.

Setting written goals for yourself and your new business is like driving down a highway headed for your predetermined destination when all of a sudden you see road signs and distractions that want you to pull off of the highway and make right or left turns when going straight is the only real way to arrive at your predetermined destination. Goals are what keep you on the straight path but only if you write them down and make them attainable. The short term goals will get you to the mid term goals which will eventually get you to your long term goals. Write them down and look at them every morning when you get up and every night before you go to bed and you will be successful in what ever you set yourself out to accomplish.

The world of internet marketing has no boundaries. You can build any kind of web site that you want, promote any product that you can dream of and start a business that not only is for your local area but also be seen and distributed world wide. It is the best venue in the world to advertise and promote a business in and I wish you great success with yours.

Choosing a casino

Choosing a Casino

You came to Las Vegas to gamble, but don't know how to choose the right casino to go to. Here are a few hints to help you make your decision. But ultimately, you have to go where you are most comfortable. If you don't like the service, then leave. There are always other casinos that will treat you better. Moreover, there are more than enough to choose if one is not to your liking.

Go casino hopping. Take in all the casinos you are thinking about visiting. See how the dealers treat people and how the wait staff is toward the gamblers. Visit two or three and make your decision. You may find something you like, such as penny slots in one, that you may not find in another.

Be warned that all casinos have no windows or clocks. They don't want you to know what time it is at any given time. If you are on a losing streak, they certainly don't want you to break by realizing it is after three in the morning. Take a watch with you so limits can be set on gambling time.

There is an old legend that hasn't been proven or unproven. The thought is the casinos pump in fresh oxygen to keep the gamblers from getting tired. This may be true as some people say they have done a long stretch of betting only to find out later it is the next day.

Don't go to into the casino and act like a snob. Likewise, don't go in intimidated because of the sheer enormity of the place. If you are looking for a small place to start out, hit the downtown casinos. Stakes are lower and people are more friendly. Payoffs are higher at some hotels. Most of them are located downtown on Fremont Street.
